Ridley Scott

In my opinion Ridley Scott is one of the most famous directors of our time, directing some of the biggest films of which includes American Gangster, Gladiator, Hannibal, Alien, Black hawk down and blade runner (which is probably his most famous film) but has also directed and/or produced many other films.
Sir Ridley Scott studied at Cleveland College of Art and Design in Hartlepool before he went on to the Royal College of Art.
After His education in 1977 Ridley went on to produce his first feature film the duellists, set in the Napoleonic wars, the duellists won the best debut film medal, however did not make an impact in the USA.
Following this Ridley Scott went on to direct the first of the Alien Films which were American backed.

Alien’s special effects and realism were said to be way ahead of its time.

Ridley Scott then went onto directing films such as Gladiator which was a major box office hit all over the world, and also probably one of the biggest films he’s created to date.
Recent additions to his filmography include Black Hawk Down, American Gangster Body of Lies and Robin Hood.

Ridley Scott Will always be Famous for his Intense visuals That are in most of his movies, which I believe comes down to the fact that he owns a visual effects company, which were solely responsible for the visuals in Gladiator.

John Woo’s Stranglehold

John Woo’s Stranglehold is one of those games you just have to play, it’s not a serious game but it is a lot of fun.
In stranglehold you play Inspector Tequila who takes part in some pretty epic gun battles. The designers have incorporated a fairly intense slow motion system which allows you to pin point people’s heads, kneecaps disarm them and more.
The game is in third person which is why I like it, if it were to be in first person I dare say the game play would not be as intense and therefore I doubt I’d have played it.
Another interesting feature in the game is the way you can use your environment to defeat enemies for example, as you fly down the alley on your trolley you can shoot signs, boxes and supports to take out enemies, or you can just tackle them head on, however you want to do it, theres something for you.

Colin McRae Dirt 2

Personally I Think This Is the best and most realistic racing game I have ever played and I found it impossible to get bored of, The game Features over 100 events of many varieties, it also includes over 30 cars to drive, Dirt 2 is a huge step up to its predecessor in the ways of physics and Graphics.
The focus of the game is to become the best rally driver in the world, and although that sounds silly which it is as it’s only a game however it’s quite a lot of fun doing it and I’ve spent many hours in front of the TV playing it.
My favourite aspect of the Game is the physics system and controlling the cars especially with an Xbox or PS3 steering wheel which makes you feel like you are actually in the game, in high definition this game is a treat, the designers have even made the landscapes accurate.
Another thing I like about the game is the replay feature which has been taken from Grid, which is a similar game made by the same people but set on a race track, the replay feature allows you to slow it down and speed it up, and watching some of the corners in slow motion with the dirt kicking up really makes you want to be behind the wheel, hence why in the opening credits it says something on the lines of ‘do not try anything from the game without professional supervision’.

COD MOD 2

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
This is probably one of the few games I’ve actually played from start to finish and probably the only game I have really enjoyed playing and not just played for the achievements.
The single player campaign is far more interesting than the previous call of duty and also has far better graphics, however to me this is not the main aspect of the game, and over 10 million people play it online and personally I can see why.
The visuals in some of the levels are absolutely stunning the detail in some of the maps, from grass to bullet holes is clearly ahead of its time, infinity ward have made a massive leap from the previous call of duty in the way of game play.
